Island Colony

The Aqua Island Colony is located in the center of Waikiki and is a great property for guests who desire a good value. The property offers hotel rooms, studio units and 1 bedroom units. Both the hotel rooms and the studios will sleep up to 4 people while the 1 bedrooms will sleep 5 people. All units are equipped with a refrigerator and a microwave. The studios have a kitchenette and the 1 bedrooms have a full kitchen. All units have a hair dryer, iron/ironing board, safe and a balcony. Guests will enjoy the large pool deck area that includes a sauna and a jacuzzi. There is also Wi-Fi available in the lobby. The Island Colony is just a short walk away from the beach, shops and restaurants. The property is undergoing emergency repairs to some of the lanais. The lanais being repaired will have all of the lanai furniture removed and the lanai doors will be closed shut for safety reasons with no lanai access allowed by guests. The work will require the use of heavy machinery between the hours of 8AM-4PM Monday-Friday. During the hours of work, the pool and jacuzzi will be closed. The project is scheduled to be completed by September 1, 2008, but that completion date is subject to change. The property will try to assign guests to units with full lanai access, but that cannot be guaranteed prior to arrival at the property. There will be some visual and audible disruptions during the renovation period. There will be scaffolding and safety lines draped over the side of the building. Noise from jackhammers may be heard and felt. The General Manager and staff will be available to minimize any guest inconvenience.
